De Adder receives a threatening ‘e-mail from a fan’

Again in line with Mike Peterson’s report today from the AAEC Convention, which spoke of intimidating comments, an editorial cartoonist receives a menacing warning about his cartoons.

‘Challenge accepted’: De Adder retweets all Poilievre cartoons he’s drawn after receiving threatening emails.

Political cartoonist Michael de Adder, who works his magic for The Washington Post, Hill Times, Toronto Star and Halifax Chrionicle Herald, tweeted a particularly nasty email he received from a supporter of new Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre the 3rd of October.

The person didn’t like his cartoon Poilievre as The Omen. “One way or another, you’re going to stop bashing Pierre!” The easy way or the hard way, the choice is yours.” wrote the individuala message from Adder described as an “e-mail from a fan”.

The Hill Times of Canada reports the story,
